It was a glorious January day as the team continued their listening canvass in Charlemont ward today. They're going to busy dealing with all the local issues raised. One thing came over loud and clear - local people are want help with the cost of living crisis.
Labour members and supporters were out on Beaconview Road in West Bromwich yesterday with Sue Phillips, Labour's candidate for the 2014 local elections in Charlemont with Grove Vale.
Sue, who is pictured in the centre, has lived on Charlemont for over 30 years and is hoping to gain the seat for Labour. The seat is currently held by an independent.
She was joined by Councillor Liam Preece as a team of seven members knocked doors on the estate to listen to the concerns of residents. The cost of living was again a big issue on the doorsteps.
The local elections will be held on Thursday 22 May.
